This book is a collection of articles, letters, and reminiscences of Swami Atulananda, popularly known as Gurudas Maharaj among the monks and devotees of Ramakrishna Order. The book is divided into three sections. The first contains a biographical sketch of the Swami, the second narrates the story of the Swami's acquaintance and relationship with some of the direct disciples of Sri Ramakrishna, and the third consists of excerpts from his letters. Throughout this book, especially in his letters where the Swami candidly opens his heart to his readers, we are able to find answers to the various problems afflicting our life.
If a person who lives in God becomes miserable, what is the use of living in God? What is the use of such a God? Throw such a God overboard into the Pacific Ocean. We do not want such a God!
-Swami Vivekananda
