The Social and Historical Values of Ragas and Raginis Vol. 1
Swami Prajnanananda
Indian music is spiritual and divine in character. The ragas and raginis are mainly used to please Gods and Goddesses and ask for their blessings. In this book are described two raginis, Kanada and Todi, with their intricate arrangements of notations.
There is only one sin -- and that sin is weakness. When I was a boy, I read Milton's Paradise Lost. The only good man I had any respect for was Satan. The only saint is the soul who never weakens, faces everything, and determines to die game.
