Translation of Aesop’s Fables. Compiled and Translated by Swami Videhatmananda. Aesop’s Fables is a collection of short stories credited to Aesop, believed to have been a slave and storyteller who lived in ancient Greece. This book contains the Hindi translations of some of these fables. These stories numbering more than 250 cover varied aspects of moral values, virtuous behavior, and practical wisdom. Usually involving anthropomorphized animals these fables are a popular medium of moral education for children and also provide an instructive read and a useful reflection for the grown-ups.
Many of us get many messages in our lives, or think we get them. As long as the message is regarding our own selves, go on doing what you please. But when it is in regard to our contact with and behavior to others, think a hundred times before you act upon it -- and then you will be safe.
